Known as The Home of the Gators, Swift Creek Elementary School is a public school within Chesterfield County Public Schools. Swift Creek is among the top 20 percent of schools in the state for overall test scores, with math test scores being among the top 10 percent. This standard, high-performing school focuses on building necessary skills in common subjects like language arts, math, and science. Students have four resource classes at the school: art, music, physical education, and STEAM. like all CCPS schools, Swift Creek offers support for gifted learners; students must be referred and evaluated in order to receive services.
Swift Creek does not underestimate the power of fun in the learning environment and believes clubs and activities are just as important to student learning as their classes during the day. Students can become involved in the student government association, Girls on the Run, and before and after school enrichment.
This school serves just under 600 students in grades pre-K through fifth who live in Brandermill, Watermill, Edgewater, Mill Crest, and Waterviews at the Reservoir communities. The student-to-teacher ratio is on par with the state average at 14:1.

WONDERFUL school! In the 5 years my children have been at SCES, we have never once been upset. I rest assured that my children are in great care and are receiving an excellent education. Very happy with administration, teachers and staff.

We had a great 6 years at Swift Creek. The treachera constantly strived to incorporate current best practices and also formed great relationships with their students. The school was always welcoming to our child and our family.
