Lawrence D. Crocker College Prep’s program focuses on students from pre-kindergarten to eighth grade. As part of the Young Audiences Charter Schools network, the Crocker campus is one of four in New Orleans. The school is open to all residents of the city, but there is a bit of competition to get in as 25% of students are accepted from one-half mile around the school, another 25% accepted from the immediate surrounding zip codes, siblings of current students are given priority, and all other students may then come from any part of New Orleans. Part of what makes Crocker College Prep unique is its incorporation of the arts for enrichment and creativity in every core subject studied. The school also has a minimum of 20 professional artists come to perform for the students each year. Crocker College Prep has a B grade in diversity for the school’s student makeup and a 20% rate of families taking part in their after-school programs. These include club sports like basketball, volleyball, and soccer as well as music education. The school is also compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act, so students with disabilities have full access to the educational experience Lawrence D. Crocker College Prep provides.

Lawrence Crocker has definitely progressed throughout the years. The teachers are very hard working, especially towards kids who struggle with learning. However, as a parent, I did experience a struggle with communication between parents with kids; it's not constant enough. My son has attended there...

The teachers have no connection with parents on how the child is doing on a daily bases! I recieve no calls or notices regarding my child's...
