Located on Berkley Drive in the New Aurora neighborhood of New Orleans, Rosenwald Collegiate Academy strives to prepare its students to attend post-secondary education and begin their careers. The public charter school enrolls over 150 young adults from ninth grade through 12th and was founded in 2018. In the few years Rosenwald has been operating, the institution has earned an A grade from the Orleans Parish School Board for the most growth based on reading and math scores. It also had the No. 1 ninth-grade LEAP test scores in the city of New Orleans.
The school offers extracurriculars like dance, cheer, band, color guard and media club in addition to its challenging academic curriculum. Sports teams at Rosenwald are part of the Louisiana High School Athletic Association and include boys’ and girls’ basketball, cross-country track and girls’ volleyball.
Bus transportation is provided to and from campus for all qualifying students. The school offers Advanced Placement courses in English and U.S. history, summer internships and the opportunity to receive college credit for interested students. Tutoring is also available each day after school if students need extra help.

Teachers are the best.The school will not only break you out of your shy shell, but they will prepare you for college or any future endeavours. It's easy to have a heard voice, parents are always in the loop, and they develop you from a child to a young adult.

My Experience with Rosenwald was a life changing experience i learned that even people who are located inside of the school can be your family too and I say this because at Rosenwald it allowed me to be comfortable with myself and comfortable to other things . Any School activity we do is fun such as spirit week which i love with a passion because you can really see people true selves and i find it awesome. But it doesn't change the fact our school inst being much noticed even with the outstanding things we do . like we have been put inside of other schools building to learn in which we shouldn't because we deserve our own building also . Which causes people to look down on us because we dont get the same resources other school receive which is unfair and i will love to change that . My school deserves every resource any other school gets because we deserve it and i love my school .
