GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

My experience at West Essex was very good. Every one there is friendly and helpful. Every time I needed help the student and teachers etc. were always polite and was willing to help. The teachers there will make sure you get all the help you need with your academics.

West Essex High School did a great job preparing its students for college. The sports and arts programs are amazing and well funded. There is a huge lack of diversity, however.

West Essex is an average school that does the bare minimum for its students, there is no diversity and lots of raised issues go unsolved. The teachers at the AP and honors levels are amazing and create a standard of academics that should be carried out throughout the school.

TERRIBLE school. They DO NOT address racism and make it their mission to cover it up and or make the victim the problem. RUN if you are a minority!!

The school offers many AP classes for those looking to challenge themselves with a rigorous course load. There are also a wide range extra curricular a...

My experience attending West Essex was nothing short of amazing. I agree the interior of the school needs some uplifting and renovating but the education was top notch for a regional public school, the handled conflicts effectively and athletics were always competitive. Since attending, I have gradu...

Don't come to West Essex. It was good a few years ago when my older brother was here and the principal was Gary Suda. West Essex is nothing like that today. It's about abuse of power, uncaring teachers, teachers who can't teach, and sports. None of my friends from Essex Fells go here anymore because...
