Greenfield Elementary School is associated with the high-ranking Chesterfield County School System. In the district, all of the elementary school students are issued Chromebooks for technology classes, computer skills training, and homework lessons.
The majority of Greenfield students test above average in reading and math, compared to other schools across Virginia. Administrators say smaller classroom sizes with a teacher-student ratio of 14:1 are some of the reasons for the schools great success.
Greenfield students are proud to be the home of the Dragons, teachers emphasize that dragons are strong and expect students to ROAR in the classroom. To ROAR is to respect others, take ownership for their actions, have positive attitudes, be responsible, and provide safety for one another.
Greenfield students are introduced to the STEAM curriculum, which stands for science, technology, engineering, art, and math classes. Advanced placement and language classes are also available to students.
It’s not all work and no play for students at Greenfield Elementary, they are encouraged to join one of the clubs on campus. Yearbook, Chess, The Battle of the Books and the annual talent show are favorite activities.
Greenfield Elementary sits on 16 acres and is well-known across Chesterfield for its number of sports fields. Children have several playgrounds to choose from on the grounds. There are also basketball courts, sports courts, and four baseball diamonds where students are often found getting fresh air during gym class.
The Greenfield Soccer Fields are adjacent to the school, with almost 5 acres of additional sports fields. The soccer fields have easy access from Robious Road, there's plenty of parking and the fields sit under the lights for after hours matches.

Teachers and Staff are great! My kids have always loved their teachers and most teachers have been there a long time. Everyone always has a smile on their face and make the kids feel loved and welcomed.
