Permian High School is a well known school but it shouldn't be based on the actual school not the movie. Most of the teachers are on visas, and administration only cares if students show up to school. On the other hand, school for students is not enjoyable and the way grades are done are really dumb because you could fail and none of it be your fault.

As a senior here at Permian High School I have collectively seen our extracurriculars advance throughout state and nationals. My high school is filled with Permian Pride through our academics and our students participating in our events. Across Texas I would argue we have the best student to faculty ratio and our teachers enjoy their classes therefore making our classrooms enjoyable.

Permian HS is a who you know based high school so to speak. If you want to be or are in sports you have to be in the "In" group to get any kind of playing time, recognition, respect. The school is overcrowded. The teachers and overall staff do not show to much compassion, care, or offer any kind of help with anything. When it comes to counselors it is hard to try and get in contact with them about how to apply for college, help with filing applications, etc.

I am also a 2010 graduate. I do not recommended this school. The teachers only teach the students who are the shinning star , rather then teach the ones who truelly need the help.
