GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I went to Laurelhurst for 9 years, from kindergarten through 8th grade. I can safely say that it is a wonderful school with wonderful teachers. It is fairly small, with ~700 kids, meaning each grade is around 60-80 people. Due to its size, there aren't many clubs or activities, and the range of classes are very very small. Sports are not affiliated with the school and clubs include yearbook, QSA, kindness club, and book face Friday while I was attending. There has been major changes since I graduated, which I don't believe I would enjoy as much, but to each their own. Academically, Laurelhurst was not challenging but at a high level. Through my 2 years in high school, I have felt very supported by my knowledge from Laurelhurst. My social studies class here has supported me more than anything else in my AP human geography class, specifically.

The commitment to diversity and inclusio...

We have been so impressed with Laurelhurst from the teachers to the administration. The onboarding process has truly helped our child feel comfortable and excited to go to school each day and there are so many opportunities to get involved, meet other families, and join in a wealth of activities.

Mediocre academic experience, and several teachers that were just going through the motions. PPS union protected underperforming teachers at the expense of the students. Had three kids here for several years until we made the decision to move them to private schools. So glad we did

Great principal, not sure how the other reviewer came up with the figure of such a large class size. My son is in the 5th grade and has about 25 students in the class. The biggest elementary classroom I know of is 31 kids, but the other 2 teachers in the grade have around 25. There are some incredib...
