Poway High School is overall resourceful when it comes to academic opportunities. Teachers and counselors are mostly helpful and are willing to help. However, it lacks culture diversities and connections within its students.

Poway is a pretty solid school. Wonderful AP courses and excellent teachers. My only wish was that all public high schools had college application prep as part of the curriculum like private schools do. A class, with expert guidance, second half of junior year. Should be a national mandate. This stuff is really hard, even for parents. I cannot imagine a child with incompetent or unavailable parents managing this.

Fun ASB but administration is terrible and fails to address students needs and concerns. Pretty good access to higher level classes.

It is a high school that offers the most AP subjects among schools in the Poway Unified School District (PUSD) and also has the best athletic program. For example, wrestling is a place where formal Olympic training is held.

We've been at PHS for three years, and have many more to go with all our kids. Overall, it has been a great experience. My family has been very impressed with Poway High School. Mr. Nash is an outstanding leader. Very organized and extremely positive.Staff at the school is very friendly. Most teachers have been at the school for a long time.During distant learning, it is apparent they want the kids back on campus.
