GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Attending Laconia High School was a largely positive experience. It is in a small, tight knit community. There are good and bad things about this, as school conflict often became personal for local families. I took many AP courses (they offer quite a few) and it helped me prepare for college immensely. I enjoyed my classmates and teachers. The music and arts department needs someone in administration who cares about it.

The staff and students are amazing people, but many students (myself included) believe that some of the teachers have become too laid back. We don't feel prepared for college and many of us are unsure of what our next steps are for our futures.

Small class sizes, which means your child will have ample teacher attention. The school has consistently done well on the state school report card. Graduation rates are high. Small class sizes also means more opportunities in sports.
