GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I love that my school has more diversity than all the others I've been to in all my other years, but it's still lacking in diversity for the most part. All of the teachers I've had/have are all so nice, helpful, and genuinely want to see us students better ourselves in academics. I love the library, especially the "Adopt-a-Book" thing they've got going on as I can fuel my need to read more often instead of just getting four books a month on my parents dime, and I'm not restricted by how many I can take. I would really like it if the food was changed a bit as I've had the school lunch food a few times and most of the times I'd gotten sick from eating it. No great experiences, but I did like it when chinken wings were served.

My Highschool experience has been the best it could have been so far. I still have two and a half years to go and I will be forever thankful for what I have learned. I am really excited for college and can not wait to get started. I want to unlock my full potential and see what I can become.

In Harlan High School I've had an overall good experience. However, if I could change one thing it would be the food. They don't provide enough food for the students. The only way you can get enough to get even remotely full is by paying extra for more food. The food also isn't good quality but I understand there isn't much we are able to do in terms of that.

The principal and Vice principals are great as well, they are active in keeping our kids safe and I see their pride for their school. I am h...

I would describe this school a dirty and not clean school. From what I heard from others parents there are vape pens and who knows what else found on the floor and in the trash in the restrooms of this school. Harlen high school has really poor monitoring by leaving the exterior doors unlocked and t...

The school is great overall. So not all of the teachers are great but the ones my kid has have gone beyond my expectations. I feel blessed to have them going there.
