GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Overall, Gabrielino High School strives to create a welcoming environment whether it is through its large participation in community service events and numerous interactive activities to bond students together. However, Gabrielino prioritizes sports over academics, which is shown through their use of funds. Something I would like to see changed is counselors reaching out to students to provide college readiness tips.

The environment on this campus is warm and welcoming on a daily basis and so are the staff for the most part. Like other schools, some are more stricter than others or are more difficult to learn from but either way they're still doing their jobs well and provide the crucial education students need. The students have very diverse personalities so it's not that difficult to find people to get along with but there is a noticeable race diversion since 3/5 of the students are Asian. I don't think it's a good or bad factor since the community is mostly an Asian one but I rarely see one-sided bullying, just some small arguments once in a while.

The teachers and staff are extremely helpful and contribute to a very welcoming environment. One of the things I wish that the school was more harsh on was the vaping problems in the restroom. But otherwise, I would recommend this school to other kids in the area.

Gabrielino is small which makes the learning environment encouraging and challenging. The teachers are generally caring and courseload is pretty rigorous, especially the science courses. The campus is safe and there are rarely any fights or bullying as most students keep to themselves or their own g...

Gabrielino is a very good school! There's a waiting list to get into this school because of its academic reputation and it's small size. There's a lot if parent involvement which gives it a private school feel without the additional cost. Students are successful and have many opportunities to excel...

Gabrielino is an excellent school. The students are motivated, the school grounds are safe and clean, and the students are challenged academically. The principal appears to be setting a great example, as I have seen her and her staff at several events (academic events, Speech and Debate, sporting ev...
