GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I have attended YB for all four years, and the best i can really say is that it was an ok school. It was life changing to attend. I don't think it was until my senior year that it clicked to me how much I really grew as a person. Looking back YB taught me Resilience, because to be able to succeed there you would be constantly knocked down, to then need to force yourself to stand back up. Not to mention it showed me different point of views of people from different backgrounds. I myself enjoying learning, and YB was able to reward my positive behavior. Some things I don't like we're overall the lack of funding placed into our sports and class activities. I helped relaunch a school made website and there was no effort around campus to fund or allow us to collect funds from others. I will say the one thing I want changed is more student and teacher collaboration. All I can ask for is more hands on teacher lead activities.

The best part of my experience, was that I was able to be apart of their CCA program which allowed me to be a dual enrollment student, attending evergreen valley college and high school simultaneously during my junior and senior year. The worst part was the lack of diversity in the program, I really wish my roots had been celebrated more within the program.

As a student who's been enrolled at Yerba Buena High School for all 4 years, YB has lots of resources to offer from education, to sports, to clubs, and everything else in between. Many of the staff create close connections with their students to make sure they succeed. There are many events created by Yerba Buena's very own Associated Student Body, involving lots of inclusivity, fun, and memories.

Special education is the worst. If you not born normal, then this is the school district in the world. They are just exploiting the tax dollars without providing any support. The special education Director at East Side Union is very rude and not works for your student. I won’t recommend this school...

This school has a problem, and the problem's name is Mary Pollett. Well, she's not the only problem, but she's a big one. She's the principal of the school, and you can just tell how little she respects the students she's supposed to be helping by her words and actions. She allows male students to h...

Overall, the school is not bad. The teachers are very nice and most of them teach very well. The school's environment can feel very different depending on where you hang out. Some fights break out but faculty is very quick to stop them, and they usually don't escalate further than they need to. Ther...
