SMA is a very welcoming community. Even if you are a new student you know you belong here. SMA is a family and even though all families have their drama, SMA is still somewhere I am happy to be.

This is a good private school. It is like we are a big family and everyone is caring to one another.

Very friendly administrative staff & the teachers work incredibly hard.School is well managed (like a private business).The students are the same as those found in non-private schools. Unfortunately the school lacks funding & that can weigh on the parents for donations.It was not as international/global as we had hoped. Boarding schools often attract children from other Texas towns with behavior issues.Our child did benefit tremendously from the structured class environment.After a few years our child no longer wanted to continue at this school due to bullying and lack of diversity of friends(small grade size).Our child chose to attend a non-private school in the community and is happier.The San Marcos Academy campus is on a wonderful piece of property and that was a pleasure to drive thru each day.

This school is the worst example of what an educational experience should be. Not inclusive, cannot stand other religions, and will skew reality for every lesson to have it drenched in their version of the bible. Awful and expensive. Never again.
