GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I like going to schalmont and attending many events they have to offer. Even though recently there has become some trouble with the freshmen that have caused many new rules. I believe that the future looks great for the school and that my memories I have had there will be kept forever. I would like to see some changes/adjustments to the rules and to the security since we recently have had some problems with fights and vaping.

Just about as normal as schools can get, nothing much happens here at all, which is nice. Nothing super shocking ever, just a very bland school. The teachers are all very friendly and enjoyable, easy to work with and reach out to. The only real problem I have is that somehow the school food look worse than prison food. Burnt and cold at the same time, grey chicken with low quality buns and generally terrible food all round. Portion sizes are also way too small for HS students and the food is just not good for athletes.

Many good teachers but not nearly enough academic resources for advanced students. For years only three AP classes have been offered. Guidance counselors don't help much with the college application process or encourage application to prestigious schools. Cultural issues such as lack of diversity and misogyny on the part of some teachers and students.
