GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Fantastic school regarding academics, lots of college readiness classes, including IB. Counselors are ready to help and can direct you to other sources if they don't know the answer. School itself can go under a modernization program, needs a new football field and track, needs a pool. Lacks very much in diversity.

I liked that there was an open campus and I enjoyed some of the courses offered, but I feel like their programs related to the facilitation of students headed to college post-high school was poorly set up. I feel like there could have been more effort put into preparing students for college so that they would be in a very good position to transition to university.

Scotts Valley High school overall does a good job a creating an accepting environment for all. It is not very diverse and gets very little state funding so there is a lack of quality sports equipment.

Along with that, it has a big and beautiful outdoor campus, with great and very nice people all around, all of th...

I am a senior graduating with the full IB program this year. I think I had the best possible experience that this school could offer. I took the advanced math track (math academy to HL math) and I think the math teachers I had are much better than those I have heard my friends talk about in the regu...

This school is very low on fundings. School lunches are disgusting. And I’d rate the community here a 2.5/10
