HNA has both been an extremely useful experience for college and also very stressful. The academics here are very difficult, but the teachers are here to help you and there's a lot of good teachers who clearly care about their students. The music department needs work (and more money) but I'm in a lot of different music organizations at HNA and really enjoy it.

The best part about Holy Names Academy is the community and the resources available for the students. The worst part of my experience is the pressure to perform well and the stress I can feel in my classes.

Best parts of HNA (as a graduating senior in the c/o 2024): teachers are so very willing to accommodate and help you all the time if you aren't understanding anything. Our theater department goes crazy, they are very inclusive and the musicals especially are incredibly good for just being high school productions. Sports have been an instrumental part of my time at HNA, you meet so many new people playing sports, whether it be on jv or varsity, and they really help you branch out. counselors are also very easily accessible, and we have very flexible accommodations policies with testing Worst parts: cafe food is wayy overpriced and not all that, but it could be worse so take my opinion with a grain of salt. competitive academic culture is very stressful -- most people load up on APs because the end-all-be-all for most is getting into a top college in the country (not a bad thing, but can have a negative impact on mental health). Would like to see more resources towards mental health

The school and other families are welcoming even though we are not Catholic. I never felt I was treated any different from other Catholic parents when I visited the school. As a parent you can be involved as much or as little as you want. My oldest child was happy in public school, so I truly lost s...

I came across this website while reflecting on the horrific experience I had as a student of Holy Names Academy. I attended this high school from 2013-2017 and still to this day I deal with the psychological damage this place did to me.To start, the school is not for someone looking for a well-round...

We had a similar experience as the other 1 star review. Our daughter was singled out by a particular history teacher and humiliated for expressing different philosophies. Also when students were being recognized for their college choices, walking across the stage in from of the whole school she was...

Traumatic. Bullying was predominant, teachers and students alike were possessed and puppetted by resentful, life-destructive ideologies and philosophies. Such experiences have contributed to physical illness. Do not - I repeat - DO NOT send your daughter to Holy Names if you are looking for well-rou...
