GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The best part is that some of the teachers are amazing. Though not everyone there, some of them are the most caring people I have ever met. The worst part is probably the food. It is just always subpar. There's also just always issues, whether it be the internet, the electricity in half the school or the chromebooks never working properly.

The experience was average, nothing really to brag about. For a public school, the student body is fairly small.

Seymour High School overall is a great place. It provides students with many athletics and extracurricular activities. Not only that but the teachers at Seymour High School could not be better. They are so supportive and always willing to help you succeed. I am so glad to be part of such a great school and community.

Absolutely awful. Administration should all be fired. Some of the books still being used are from 1998 and 2005. After the incident with a pipe bursting, the students weren't even evacuated, after; the floor was "fixed" with duct tape. Some of the teachers are just incompitent, and should also be fi...

This school picks on the low income families and and causes trouble for them. They fabricate stories to try and rid themselves of these children to try and maintain their state wide scores. Shame on you Seymour high school!

This school has some great teachers where your kids can really learn something! Both of my kids graduated and are now at major universities. The school offers honor and AP classes which challenged them. Sports are big and there is alot of school spirit. The administration does whats best for the kid...
