My experience at South Gwinnett High School was neutral. Throughout my years from 2020 to 2024, I did receive a good education from great teachers, but there were distractions, such as frequent fights and fire-alarm pranks.

South Gwinnett has a lot of school pride, that's for sure. We are very competitive when it comes to sports and we're known for our rambunctious reputation. However, when considering the school's academics, it falls short of what is supposed to be "excellent" for students to really succeed in truth.

Overall, my experience was good. I think the school could use more work in communication on short notice. I also think they could do better with food choices.

I've taught at South Gwinnett for a few years now. The changes current principal Mr. Jordan has implemented have brought about a night-and-day culture change at the school. No longer do the students think they run the place. Fights are now extremely rare and quickly dealt with. Lockdowns are a thing...
