GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Canyon View isn't just another high school, it is new and innovative, constantly changing with the needs of the students and faculty. As an LGBT student, I have been bullied here but upon talking to my counselor, my problems quickly reduced. They care about their students, even the more diverse parts of the community.

Canyon View Highschool is a very good school. They are full of spirit and create a big loving family. There are people there to help you find your way in the school and find where you fit in. They have tons of different activities and clubs to participate in and our STUGO keeps school entertaining. Our teachers are so supportive and actually listen and care about their students. Whenever I had a question in class my teachers would make me feel comfortable. I do wish they took smaller sports more serious and gave them the same recognition they do to other sports. I also wish that they can prepare us more for college so it takes away those nerves about moving away to college. However the school is amazing and I love it dearly Go JAGS!!!

The school does little to prepare students for college as it has made all classes much easier to pass and (in my opinion) has made students much lazier because of this. There are unlimited test retakes meaning many students will purposely underperform on a test and use the retakes to easily achieve at least a C.
