GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Waukee is a great school with a lot of social activities but it's not easy to connect with children on the same level as you because most the children in Waukee grew up wealthy and I didnt so that made it hard.

Waukee High School is located within a wealthy, well-off area of Iowa called Waukee. The school itself is in disarray, however, from years of misuse. Additionally, the staff and faculty are not well equipped to handle any kind of situations.

I really like how welcoming and caring the staff are. The administration is always around and connect on a personal level with a lot of students. The teachers and staff care about the well-being and future of the students, even the cafeteria staff. On the contrary, it can be very intimidating. A lot of the students are very cliquey especially when it comes to sports. It is easy to feel drowned by everyone around you.

As a recent graduate that is now in college, I think Waukee prepared me very well for the next step in my education. I have seen kids that went to Des Moines metro and area schools that are struggling with things that I learned in 10th grade at Waukee. There is a strong emphasis on athletics here, b...
