GreatSchools Rating

GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

They've pushed me to be the best student I can be. Everyone here has cheered me on and are helping me graduate early.

I havent so much seen fights at the school because they are rare, but there is a lot of bullying from peer to peer that went unnoticed and at some point it will happen to everyone. I'm not sure if there was a school nurse or not, but I think that was to least of the concerns I have about this school. I'm ashamed to say that I know at least 1 person from this school who have brought a gun to this school, and a good percentage of the friends I made there were either in a gang or had parents that were gang bangers. I felt safe some times when I was at school, but I never felt safe going too or from school since I had to take public transportaion in a really bad part of town. There were always SRO's at the school, but they were never available when we needed us. I have one memorable expirence form this school that was actually from my graduation day. I went in to thank my teachers for a great year, and when I was in the class we went on lock-down because of gunshots in the surrounding community. I never felt so unneasy in my life when I went to go catch the bus home because I don't think they ever found the source of the gun shots. Over-all, the school is iffy, but if you make the right connects with the right students, then you will be... Ok.
