GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

They focus a lot on ELA and math. Any kids that gets below 80 is considered failing . So they give more attention to those kids until they are on track. They have lots of resources for kids. Teachers are amazing. Very helpful.

Pretty much only the 7th and 8th grade teachers are good. Especially the science and social studies teacher. The specials teachers, specifically the music teacher, was horrible and didn't know how to control his class. Also lots of teaches are bias and tend to give students a hard time/ don't take students seriously if they don't like them.

Recently they started scheduling the afterschool program so you couldnt just select what you were interested in, you were forced to do it all

My daughters have been part of the school for 9 years. It’s been the best school out of any others in Yonkers. Their athletic program is amazing as well.

They fired someone because they are liked more than any other teacher and they don’t respect people and they make us feel like we are useless

Great involvement by both parents and teachers. It's a great school community that has found its niche in bridging academic gap.
