GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Yorktown High School does a good job balancing academics and athletics/other activities. Our Principal puts a lot of her energy and time into students allowing most to excel. The participation in events is also high among most students.

An amazing school in an amazing area. The teachers are all very professional and put the student before themselves. Being just one hour away from Indianapolis and ten minutes away from a college campus there is always something to do. As this town grow I believe the schools will grow as well.

The sense of community at Yorktown has been amazing. Whether I'm involved in a club, sport, and any other part of the school, I always feel welcomed. Yorktown has helped me grow and develop into the student I am now. I believe that I am prepared for the future because of my time at Yorktown.

This school presents some wonderful opportunities for students and the facilities are very good. Haven;t run into a BAD teacher yet. Most are excellent and only a couple were less inspired. The principal is dedicated to constant improvement, and I found her very responsive to the few concerns we hav...
