An affluent neighborhood on the eastern edge of Cobb County, Georgia, Vinings has a warm feel with remnants of history scattered between beautiful homes and popular retail and dining. Forested suburban roads are lined by contemporary manors and townhouses, with single-family homes sprinkled in between. Set apart from the busy city life of Atlanta, which still only lies 10 miles away, Vinings has a family-friendly atmosphere with many residents having settled in the area over decades and still welcoming in younger families. Braves Stadium offers events that bring in residents and visitors, and gardens and walking spaces throughout the neighborhood allow residents to embrace their location next to the Chattahoochee River.

Contemporary luxury with bits of history
“Neighborhoods here are always a little bit of this and a little bit of that. Some families have been here for 60 years, and some just moved in,” says realtor Christine Bradley, who has lived in Vinings for 25 years. Among the winding streetscapes and contemporary housing, there are signs of history. Old horse trails can be found along the fences of old properties, untouched by time and development, and Civil War-era bunkers remain preserved in some neighbors’ backyards. Homes in the area consist of a mix of craftsman-style bungalows, contemporary ranches and modern manors, most sitting on plots that are typically just under an acre of land with space for robust gardens and towering trees. Townhouses in the area are priced around $400,000, while many manors can be found for around $2.5 million. Family homes of all styles can be found at prices in between.

The plaza also hosts several clothing store options, like Talbots. Indoor entertainment at Cobb Energy
“Vinings kind of fills the gap between Buckhead and East Cobb. We don't have city things happening in our neighborhood, but we’re not so suburban that there’s nothing to do,” says Bradley. The area has plenty of entertainment opportunities while still maintaining its relaxing atmosphere. Truist Park serves not only as a sports hub for Atlanta’s MLB team, the Braves, but also as a concert venue, hosting live shows. Down the road, locals can watch opera and ballet performances in an open and modern theater at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center. For more family-friendly entertainment, Round1 Bowling & Amusement offers an arcade and bowling area.
The Battery in Vinings also houses Truist Park where the Atlanta Braves baseball team plays.

Fishing along the Chattahoochee River is a favorite pastime for many locals, as are boating and kayaking. Galleria Garden features an oasis of curated garden spaces for a quiet seating area. And Cochise Club offers a membership to locals that provides access to a private pool, playground and social events.
