An attractive Shoreline neighborhood with a slow pace of life
Just 13 miles north of downtown Seattle, Richmond Highlands has much to offer. From its modest homes and plentiful local restaurants to its parks and community events, this centrally-located neighborhood is a friendly place to call home. "I've lived here for 40 years," says long-time resident Kathy Plant. "It was so cozy and fifties-like when we first moved here, and it's still that quiet, tree-lined neighborhood with a slow pace of life. It's gorgeous and walkable. People are friendly, and you have good relationships with the city government. You get to know the police chief. You get to know the mayor. You don't feel helpless." The neighborhood’s CAP Index crime score is a 3, just below the national average score of 4.

While the neighborhood has sidewalks lining its major roads, Richmond Highlands lacks sidewalks on its smaller, residential streets.
