Kelly Canady has made it a point in life to be straightforward with the people she works with and to always surround herself with the best. She partners with her clients to find them the right property and will always provide an educated assessment of market conditions, value, and appreciation. Kelly can do this because 1) she has been in the business for 17+ years; 2) she oversaw a billion-dollar real estate firm for six of those years; and 3) she surrounds herself with the most successful and professional sales associates in San Francisco at Sotheby’s International Realty.
Prior to entering real estate, Kelly was in the corporate securities industry for 10 years as both an attorney and investment banker. In those professions, she negotiated and priced transactions for both technology start-ups and multi-billion-dollar public companies. Today, she uses those fundamental skills of contract negotiation and comparable analysis to help sellers get top dollar for their property and buyers find their dream home without overpaying. She is driven by the success and satisfaction of her clients.
Kelly is a native Californian and grew up in Tiburon when the downtown still had warehouses, an old train track, and rickety piers to climb. She went to Cornell University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Following two years in New York working at a boutique investment bank that specialized in REITs, she attended University of Iowa, College of Law, where she was an editor of the Iowa Law Review.
She lives in San Francisco and is an active member of the community. Over the years, Kelly has sat on the board of governors of the San Francisco Symphony and its executive committee. She has also been an elected board member of the San Francisco Association of Realtors. Currently, she volunteers with the National Charity League with her two daughters, Kate and Keira, and helps out in each of their school communities when the need arises. In her free time, she loves to travel, ski, cook, golf with her husband, Frank, play tennis with her daughters, and take long walks with her Cardigan Welsh Corgis, Patch and Pepper.
