Some of the teachers who instruct college-level classes do need to scale back on the amount of homework given for some classes. There are some weeks I find myself studying for 3-4 hours a day for one class which is impossible for most kids to be able to dedicate that much time as we often have other things in our lives to attend to. I will say that the best part of our school now is that we all have late starts on Wednesday as well as block period classes 4 of the 5 day of the week.

Overall, FVL is a great school with supporting teachers, pastors, and staff. I there are lots of options for academics, and I feel well-prepared for college because of my coursework. I am especially grateful for what I've learned from the STEM/VEX robotics programs.

Throughout my experience at FVL, the best part would have to be the teachers. For the most part, they are very helpful and promote a learning environment.

This is a really good school and I recommend sending your children there for a good Christian education. They would be surrounded by many Christian students and teachers.

This school is not much better than the public alternatives. If you're looking for a school that promotes living as a Christian, you will probably be disappointed.
