GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I have had a good experience here because I do my best no matter what. I have always done my best to go beyond the bare minimum. I'm doing my best to help prepare myself for college. I have been involved in numerous AP classes, clubs, and sports and my experience within them has been nothing but amazing and memorable.

Starting high school at El Monte High School was a challenge and a fresh start for me. Being at El Monte taught be many factors of life. There will be times where l will be alone and learn to be okay with it because not everyone stays. During the four years of El Monte high school l was only able to be 2 years and a half on campus. I wish l would of been able to spend more time on campus and participate more.
