GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

East Allen University is a pretty great school in terms of academics. The days are split into block schedules, so classes are longer, making them more in depth. Teachers and tutors here are helpful as well. However, the building itself is worn down so sometimes it can be a bit distracting.

It was hard work, but so worth it in the long term. Looking back 5 years later I am in an advanced place in my life due to my experience at EAU. The staff truly cares about you as an individual and it shows in the quality of the education.

The people here are very welcoming. The staff is very involved with the students at this school. Students leave here prepared for college.

Teachers are transphobic and do not engage with students (except for a select few, like the English teachers). The environment is not supportive and not organized in a way that is user-friendly. I faced lots and lots of discrimination for being transgender at this school, and felt severely outcasted...

EAU can be beneficial for any high school student mainly because it offers a lot of college opportunities, way more than any other high school. You can receive your associates degree which is 60 credits, along with a high school diploma. (I ended up with with about 69/70 credits and went into colleg...
