The best part of my experience were the teachers and staff members at Clinton, who all showed a true interest in the success of students and most of the time did their best to help. The worst part of my experience was the extreme workload put on students on top of the IB deadlines we already had to meet. Something that I would like to see change is more support in the science and math departments at Clinton.

i transferred here from a catholic school after ninth grade (2020). my old school was quite traditional, conservative, and not a great fit for me personally. this is just some info that could be useful for the following: pros: lgbtq+ friendly some duds, but certainly lots of highly intelligent and engaged students nice building - clean, new, and relatively nice for an nyc public hs offers the ib program (but see cons!) progressive-minded students and teachers for the most part. cons: european and asian countries would call clinton's ib program a joke. it's unorganized, and although counselors are pretty knowledgeable about it, students remain confused and highly overwhelmed girl:boy ratio is super uneven (idrc tbh but i know for some people that's not great) teachers claim to care about mental health but it's def a facade... some still don't know my name (im a senior btw) super duper white and rich. like it's obvious when you aren't those two things bc you feel odd.

I absolutely loved my experience at Clinton High School. I had moved around a lot and therefore had been through a lot of transferring schools. Not only did the student body and my peers make me feel welcomed, but the staff and teachers as well.

My daughter graduated in 2024 and I can say that I will NOT send my other children here. The principal is completely non responsive and seemsss powerless to enact change. Or, he thinks he knows everything. The teachers, with the exception of two, are callous and unempathetic. I was shocked at the le...

The leadership at this school is painfully absent. The principal is non responsive. My son graduated last year and -- like another parent said -- I had to enroll an army of tutors to get him through. A few of his teachers were fine. But for the most part, the teachers don't really care about the cha...

Our experience at this school was a huge disappointment. During COVID, there were 100 kids in a class and the vast majority of students didn’t turn their cameras on. My daughter lost ground academically in high school and it was impossible to be in touch with most teachers, the vice principal, or th...

My son is finishing his 9th grade year at Clinton and I am thoroughly impressed with everything about this school. A very difficult pandemic year has been handled from beginning to end with thoughtfulness, care, and high spirits.
