We're thrilled with Friends. Our son, in high school, loves it. All the teachers have been excellent, and as a former English major myself, I've been beyond impressed by the English Department. The students seem to be very welcoming - not cliquey. There are many interesting extra-currilcular activities, a good sports program, and the facilities are excellent.

the administration is absolutely horrible and students are constantly overwhelmed past their breaking point

I have been at Friends since kindergarten. The teachers are able to support you if you are struggling or need any help at all. It is very easy to get support for anything. There are high school tutors who can tutor the middle schoolers. The teachers engage fully in class. The food is not great. Neither are the sports. Many kids at Friends are talented in sports or they want to play sports but the program is not the best it could be.

Friends Seminary does an exceptionally bad job of integrating public school students who come to Friends in later grades. If this describes what you need, look elsewhere. We withdrew our son after two years because the administration handled a bullying situation so poorly. My greatest wish is that w...

I don't know why all these parents are complaining, but I do believe Friends is a fundamentally good school. Although there are some bad ones, I've had so many influential teachers that have really shaped my childhood and I don't know where I'd be now without them. I do agree that if one has many ou...

This school is conventional. Stuck in same outmoded ideas about education that propagate the world that is.

Absolutely horrible. The Administration seems to hate the students, teachers quarrel constantly, despite the almost $35,000 tuition the school seems to struggle for money. Due to the new schedule system this year, they eliminated all choice for english courses. Last year, there were 9 different opti...
