Sixth Avenue Elementary School, also known by the designation P.S. 340, is a public school located in the Union Square neighborhood. P.S. 340 bases its learning objectives around inquiry-based learning by encouraging critical thinking and collaboration during lessons and projects. The school's mission is to balance proactive and sensitive social and emotional education with rigorous academics.
