I had an overall positive experience at Del Norte High school. Things I would like to see a change in, is the professionalism of the teachers, and more specifically, the Advance Placement course teachers. I've had some very poor experiences with AP Teachers and its not right to have bias and discriminatory teachers after working so hard to get into and succeed in the course.

Great school, I wish there was more support for students who struggle taking tests and have executive function challenges. Teachers, councillors and staff have all been wonderful. There is are a lot of opportunities for tutoring and academic help from staff.

While Del Norte has supportive teachers students can easily connect with, programs to make students feel welcomed and accepted, and a general motivated atmosphere, Del Norte is highly competitive which can be found damaging to many students' mental health.

This school leads with punishments. Not grace or tolerance. You are tardy 5 times you get pushed out a club. Tardy 10 times, you get kicked out of the sports team. I would not recommend this school. The previous principal cared about the students. Now entire classes are bombing their grades or failing and the admin does nothing about it.
