“We, the Monterey Ridge Learning Community, is built on a foundation of strong character, confidence, and competence.” Established in August 2006, this savvy school has been a proud part of the 4S Ranch neighborhood in Rancho Bernardo for almost 20 years. Built in a “master-planned community,” the student population at Monterey Ridge is ever-expanding thanks to all the new builds in the area. Serving students throughout San Diego County, Monterey has a healthy population of 1,000 scholars. Each learning community is separated into six different “villages,” with six to seven classrooms and a family room each. From Promethean boards and DocuCams to wireless technology and high-speed internet, students can find a safe space for small group study sessions in their village common area. With an outdoor patio perfect for staff and students to spend time in, Monterey Ridge has more than enough space for imaginations to roam free as well. If you’re seeking before and after school care, Monterey Ridge Elementary has you covered with a full-time preschool class and separate play space for kids to run and play. This highly regarded institution is ideal for young learners, as Monterey Ridge Elementary has a dedicated faculty that aims to help each and every one of its students thrive academically, mentally and socially.

My son is enjoying his second year at MRES and we are so pleased with the school and how much he is learning. He is very happy there and we couldn't be happier with the way the school is run. Two thumbs up for my son's current teacher, Mrs. Underhill, an excellent teacher!
