As someone who is in a travel program and attends Colonial Forge, as well as another High School in Stafford county simultaneously, I can say that Colonial Forge has some great teachers who are very passionate about their subjects, as well as nice facilities and resources. I've also have had a positive experience with my school counselor and admins. I would like to see more funding for the music program at Forge, especially the Orchestra, which I'm a part of.

My favorite experiences are the camaraderie's between students teachers and faculty. My least favorite experiences are that the faculty rarely deal with fights or issues until later than necessary. Upon the management of the issue, it is often too late.

Colonial Forge made me feel welcomed being a transient student due to military moves. They caught me up to standards and assisted with courses and SOLs missed. I immediately joined the Lacrosse team and felt a part of the family. The school is rather large and could use more counselors for one on one support in planning after high school.

Both of my daughters attended CFHS and both had different but successful high school careers. This school is dysfunctional.The representation and organization unsystematic!Some counselors are overwhelmed, confused!
