GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Wilby High school is a good school, it's full of a lot of different people. Academics are good just depends on certain teachers. Sports are okay. Overall Wilby is a great school!

The thing that affected was the pandemic. The transition from learning in school to online was difficult. Learning something new was different but helped us learn to use the internet. I had some good experiences with friends and meeting different people. The good memories I gained from my 4 years of high school I won't forget. The change I would to see is people enjoying their high school years.

I have loved my experience at Wilby High School. The community and life has been nothing other than great. I hope for upcoming student to get involved in clubs and academics to better improve their skills while being in school. Throughout my experience at Wilby I have produced my own play called "Fractured Fairy tales" I also have won the Super Independent award and I have been giving the opportunity to be poet laureate. Overall I couldn't be more grateful for my time and experience at Wilby High School.

Students are not only disadvantaged due to this school being below state average, but are given classes that teacher's don't even come to school to teach. The students are then required to take state midterms and final exams in course work they never even received the class instruction on, which pla...

My child went from loving school to wanting nothing to do with it. This school is out of control, just stand in the lobby for 5 minutes, you won't believe what you see and hear.

Waterbury Schools are changing, and are fighting for change. Especially this school in particular. You can see the effort the staff is doing to make their students succeed. I appreciate that in almost every way. And because of that, Wilby is becoming a greater institution of learning more than ever....
