GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

When I was in the school I was able to work with my fellow classmates and have help from the teachers if it was needed. The best thing of our school was being able to take some time off to watch the major school events. The worst part of my time there was having to go to eat when there was expired milk that had not been thrown away and accidentally drinking some. some thing i would like to see change is the food menu for the students so they may have better food.

Overall I think Pike County High School has treated me very well. The teachers are very inclusive and one on one which makes it feel kind of like a private school. I absolutely love Pike County.

PCHS was just OK overall. I haven't heard or experienced an amazing amount of opportunity to shape and form your future the way you want. Plus it's all still carpet, except in labs and cafeteria.

She has had a tough time with the amount of white people here and she can’t go a day without hearing them...

Unfortunately this county doesn't provide a lot of funding for education. I have lived here my entire life and have been nothing but more and more disappointed in the people that have lived here forever. I know many of them personally and the facts are facts. If you want better education you have to...

Our children have went to Pike county schools since they were in Kindergarten and Second Grade. They are now in the 7th and 10th grade. We have had a wonderful experience and LOVE the schools! I feel like the teachers have challenged our children to strive for excellence. We love the small town feel...
